Melanie from Florida

Melanie became interested in human trafficking prevention after writing a research paper on the ways traffickers take advantage of the susceptibility of teenagers who use social media platforms. She is passionate about spreading awareness to the groups who are most vulnerable to trafficking in her local community. Melanie is the editor-in-chief of both her school newspaper and yearbook. When she’s not editing articles or doing homework, Melanie can be found catching up on her endless TBR list (books “to be read”), drawing, and listening to music.
